Capt. Brian Marcey

Born and raised in Sarasota Fl, I have been interested and addicted to saltwater fishing since I can remember. I consider Sarasota Bay and the local gulf coast waters my backyard. Growing up fishing, surfing, and diving I have a deep respect for our waters and everything they offer. I took advantage of every opportunity I had to learn more about the environment I loved so much. From birding and fishing trips with my parents along the coast down to the Everglades, to fishing the backcountry creeks and estuaries in my canoe. Having access to some of the best fishing in the state at such an early age sparked my interest in the marine industry. After college I was offered a position at Mote Marine Laboratory. There my passion for the saltwater environment exploded!. Not only was I fishing on my time off, now I was fishing at work too. As well as caring for the fish and marine life we collected. It was then I decided to obtain my Captains license and would begin to share my experiences with others. As a Full Time fishing guide and outdoor enthusiast I look forward to spending time on the water with first time visitors or life long residents to show them the Sarasota Bay and Gulf coast I have grown to love so much!

The Boat

Custom 24′ T-Craft center console tower boat

The 24′ T-Craft was designed for fishing southwest Florida. The all fiberglass and composite construction ensures a long and durable life on the water. Equipped with state of the art electronics and side scan technology as well as a full tower I am able to find more fish than ever before. The Yamaha 250 hp 4 stroke engine provides enough power to get to the action fast and allows a stealthy approach to undisturbed fishing grounds. The stability of this boat is remarkable! Its beam is over 9′ wide allowing for multiple people to move freely around the vessel with no tipping or rocking. The wide beam paired with a hydraulic jack plate allows the 24′ T-Craft to run in less than 1′ of water as well as being capable of running offshore with a sharp “V” entry and extra wide trim-tabs. Custom designed live wells rigged with two 1500gph pumps keep your bait alive and frisky! After fishing on the 24′ T-Craft it will be hard to get on any other boat.
